Andrew Garrett Askew Review & Testimonial
"Aviation has been in my blood since the very beginning. My father is a Captain at United Airlines, and was hired only several weeks after I was born. Growing up, I was able to witness the life that my father’s career was able to provide for our family. But most importantly, I was able to witness the passion that he held for his career. After spending three years working in Financial Accounting in Washington D.C., my father convinced me to leave my career and pursue my dream of becoming an airline pilot just like him. After countless hours of research, it was apparent that ATP Flight School was the clear answer for completing my flight training efficiently, with the highest level of instruction quality.
I decided to attend the ATP-IWA location in Mesa, AZ, and was immediately impressed with the facility. The aircraft were installed with the highest level of avionics, the maintenance team had their own hangar on property, the simulators were industry-leading, and management was kind and welcoming. The ATP Fast-Track Program allowed me to progress through my flight training as quickly as I was able to take on the information. The instructors were incredible, and to this day are still some of my best friends. The connections that I made at ATP Flight School are what opened the doors for me into my career at the airlines. I was able to interview for the United Airlines Aviate Program (now an opt-in program) through their partnership with United Airlines. Being in the Aviate Program gave me the opportunity to interview at CommuteAir, where I would go on to spend two years flying as both a First Officer and a Captain. After completing my transition requirements, I am now a First Officer with United Airlines flying the 737 out of DCA. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the instruction that I received at ATP Flight School, and I’m thankful for the friends and mentors that I made during my time there."
