United Airlines has a firm order for 30 more E175 enhanced aircraft, with operator Mesa Airlines due to begin taking delivery of the aircraft during the week of March 31st.
Mesa says that its second E175 delivery will be its first of the enhanced variant. Mesa said that the first aircraft they accepted will be modified with the new winglets in July.
Republic Airlines is scheduled to take delivery of 24 E175s on behalf of American Airlines in 2014, according to the mainline carrier’s published fleet plan. It is unclear if these aircraft will be the enhanced version of the E175.
All three of these airlines have agreements with ATP which allows the airlines to begin recruiting our students while they are still in flight training. The airlines then give them conditional offers of employment that allows the student to focus on flight training knowing that they have a job flying these cutting edge enhanced aircraft when their flight training and time instructing at ATP is complete.
