SkyWest, Inc., Reports Traffic Increase in November 2011 for SkyWest Airlines, Atlantic Southeast Airlines and ExpressJet Airlines

St. George, Utah based SkyWest, Inc. reported a 12.4 percent increase in passenger traffic for November compared to the same period last year. SkyWest’s load factor, the percentage of available seats that were filled with passengers, was 80.3 percent which was an increase of 1.1 percent compared to November of 2010.
SkyWest also reported a 15.9 percent increase in the number of miles flown by paying passengers (RPMs) for November compared to November 2010. The combined airlines generated 2.34 billion RPMs for the month, while ASMs increased to 2.91 billion. The substantial increases for the year-to-date numbers below are due primarily to the acquisition of ExpressJet Airlines on November 12, 2010 .
SkyWest is presently hiring pilots, and is reportedly planning to hire more through the year 2012.
