SkyWest firms order for 100 MRJs

SkyWest Inc., the holding company which owns and operates SkyWest Airlines and ExpressJet Airlines, has firmed its provisional order for 100 Mitsubishi Regional Jets. SkyWest has also taken out options for “up to 100” further examples of the type.
The initial 100 aircraft that SkyWest ordered are now confirmed to be the MRJ90 variant. Based on list prices, the order is valued at $4.2 billion, with an additional $4.2 billion related to the executable 100 options.
