ATP’s recruiting partner Republic Airways Holdings Inc. reported today that it has reached a twelve year agreement with United Airlines to add 50 new 76-seat Embraer E175 aircraft to the fleet being flown by subsidiary Shuttle America.
These 50 new E175s are in addition to the order for new E-Jets order signed by Embraer and Republic in January 2013 for 47 firm and 47 optional E175s. Thirty-four E175s from the original order have already been delivered to Republic and Shuttle America.
Republic makes regularly scheduled recruiting visits to ATP’s Jacksonville and Phoenix locations, offering conditional offers of employment to ATP’s students and instructors. They will be hiring even more now as each new aircraft requires approximately five additional crews to operate.
“United was our first E-Jet customer, and we are excited for the opportunity to further develop our relationship with 50 new E175s. This is a testimony to the excellent work of our employees, and we look forward to continuing to provide United with safe, clean and reliable air service,” said Bryan Bedford, President, Chairman and CEO of Republic.
Republic’s fleet expansion creates opportunities to begin a career in aviation and ATP continues to be the recruiting partner of choice for the regional airlines in the United States. Training with ATP Flight School gets you to the airlines faster than any other path.
