PlaneSense, Inc., the aircraft fractional ownership airline, manages the largest civilian fleet of Pilatus PC-12 aircraft in the world and still manages to offer the level of elegance and sophistication that you expect from private aircraft travel for a fraction of the cost. PlaneSense is a recruiting partner of ATP, and has announced that it is adding a new crew base in Orlando Florida.
PlaneSense presently operates out of its current crew bases in Portsmouth New Hampshire (KPSM) and Dekalb- Peachtree Airport (KPDK) near Atlanta. The new crew base in Orlando opens opportunities for more pilots to fly for PlaneSense since pilots hired to fly for PlaneSense must live within 100 miles of their base, and there are a lot of pilots living in central Florida.
The PlaneSense fractional ownership program began operating in 1996, and it currently has a fleet of over thirty Pilatus PC-12s. The program is supported by over 250 aviation professionals who handle all aspects of management, operations, scheduling, quality assurance, and administration. PlaneSense, Inc also formally announced last month at EBACE with Pilatus to become the largest initial launch customer of the PC24 Jet, which begins delivery in 2017 and an initial order of six jets.
The Pilatus PC-12 is universally renowned for its ability to operate into airports that are inaccessible to a large segment of the aviation industry. The PC-12 only needs 2,000 feet of runway, and short fields comprised of grass, dirt, and even crushed coral prove no match for the Swiss built aircraft, demonstrating an additional way that the PlaneSense® program is able to set itself apart from other business and personal travel options.
