ATP has very close relationships with all of the Regional Airlines in the United States, and we recently reached out to them to ask their recruiters what they have to say to ATP flight training students as well as all of those who are considering entering the airline industry by training with ATP. We received the following reply from Republic Airways Director of Talent Acquisition Jody Scott, and I would like to share it with you:
At Republic Airways, our goal to hire the best Pilots and the best people, because that’s what made us one of the largest and most successful regional air carriers in the U.S. today. Our business model: We fly fixed-fee contracts for the three mainlines, Delta Air Lines, American/US Airways and United Airlines. Use our own aircraft and employ the Pilots, Flight Attendants, Mechanics and other support staff to operate them. Our business partners pay for our aircraft and handle ticketing, baggage claim and fuel costs. Through this arrangement Republic has maintained strong, robust business relationships with the mainlines, due mainly to the superior service we provide to our clients.
That means myriad career opportunities await you at Republic Airways. We have an impressive flight map with about 1,350 daily departures to 110 cities in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. So, when you think about it, that actually makes us more than a regional airline – one that covers North America.
Republic also is the world’s largest operator of Embraer jets with one of the most modern fleets in the business – and growing. In fact, Republic and United Airlines late last year announced a deal to add 50 new E-Jets, with deliveries to begin in July 2015 and continuing through summer 2017. These new E175s will replace 31 Bombardier Q400 turboprops as well as some older jets. Plus, we still are in the process of adding 50 E175 aircraft for an American contract signed less than two years ago.
What does this mean for you? The Company plans to hire over about 500 Pilots in 2015, and offer a reduced upgrade time spurred by company growth and retirements. We have a competitive benefits and compensation plan that we are excited to share with any interested applicant.
As a student at ATP Flight School, we know you have what it takes to be a pilot. The question is, are you ready to launch your career with Republic? Contact us and find out – our Flight Operations and Talent Acquisition Teams are ready to field any questions you have. When you interview, be prepared with your credentials, articulate your knowledge and experience, then put your best foot forward.
