ExpressJet Pilots Ratify Two-year Contract Extension

Pilots for SkyWest’s subsidiary Expressjet announced that they have approved a two year contract extension to their existing agreement. The extension raises the pay rate for new First Officers to bring them in line with the new standard for beginning pay of $40,000 per year.
The new agreement provides first year pay rate of $37 per hour if you are hired to fly the CRJ200/Embraer 145 or $40 per flight hour if you are hired to fly the CRJ700/900. The extension also provides for raises for all pilots regardless of how long they have been with the company. The improved agreement runs through February 2018.
Additionally, an enhanced profit sharing program has been put in place which guarantees $1,000 per pilot for 2016 and $1,500 per pilot for 2017, which brings the effective first year pay at ExpressJet to over $41,000.
