Delta Airlines Reports Solid Performance for June

Delta Air Lines today reported solid revenue and performance for June 2012. Delta's passenger revenue increased 8 percent compared to figures from the month of June last year. Atlanta-based Delta saw continued strength from corporate revenue, investments in products and services, capacity discipline and strong performance at LaGuardia Airport.
Delta reported that its load factor (the percentage of seats filled with passengers) was 88.1 percent, up 1.8 points year over year. The average fuel price that Delta paid over the month of July was $3.29, a reduction from months past.
Delta also had another month of excellent operational performance. Delta's completion factor was 99.6 percent, 0.6 points higher than prior year, and its on-time performance improved 7.0 points to 85.5 percent.
