Like thousands of other pilots and aviation enthusiasts, I will be attending AOPA’s Aviation Summit in Long Beach, California on November 11th through 13th. I gave a presentation at the Aviation Summit last year in Tampa and promised myself that I would attend every one of them in the future.
This year I will be giving a presentation focusing on finding a flying job in today’s recovering pilot-hiring environment. The prospects for obtaining a paying position in aviation are improving but it is still necessary to develop a strategy for success.
ATP will also be holding a press conference at the Summit along with Mountain State University to announce MSU’s new ATP Pilot Operations Bachelor’s Degree. The program allows students to pursue a degree with MSU while obtaining the best flight training available at the same time with ATP.
