Dear Mr. Koziarski,
On Tuesday I was selected as a first officer candidate and invited to training class by ExpressJet Airlines. I would like to express my gratitude to you and Mr. Dennis for making the Airline Career Pilot Program the best airline career-oriented training program out there. I know I am in the position I am in today because I trained at ATP.
I attended the ACPP at ATP Stuart in March through May of 2005. While there I met a great group of students and instructor pilots. Not only did we all work hard and accomplish our training, we had a great time as well. I made several life-long friends while training at ATP. I also knew the ACPP was the right choice when I learned that several of my classmates' parents were airline pilots themselves. I completed the ACPP as advertised, in just under 90 days and for the exact price quoted: $37,995.
Even though I did not go on to instruct for ATP, the strength of the training program carried me through the next stage of my career as an accomplished flight instructor. I instructed for a good flight school with exacting standardization in a challenging airspace. My first student earned his private pilot certificate in 36 days and 46 flight hours, all while flying out of the primary airport in Class Bravo airspace in the middle of the Washington, DC Air Defense Identification Zone. Working in such an environment was no challenge for me, and for that I credit the great training I received at ATP. I also felt that being trained at ATP helped get me the job, being that two of my co-workers were also graduates of ATP.
A few weeks ago I learned that the Senior Director of Flight Operations at ExpressJet was actively soliciting résumés and recommendations from current employees. While at ATP, I lived, trained and flew with no fewer than eight current ExpressJet pilots. Getting multiple recommendations was easy.
I cannot imagine a better training environment than ATP for someone seeking an airline career. ATP's record speaks for itself. I am proud to finally join the group of ATP graduates who have successfully moved onto airline careers, and ATP will always have my gratitude and praise.
Sincerely, Michael Lee Stephenson
