CFI school was an amazing experience. David Thompson, Todd Shellnutt [ATP Flight Instructors] and Danyelle Thompson [ATP Training Support Specialist] make a great team. They did everything in their power to make sure we all would be successful. The initial stages of training, pre-CFI school, were great but the time I spent with David and Todd really helped take my skill set and confidence to the next level. What they are asked to do in the amount of time allotted is nothing short of amazing. My time with them, in my opinion, was worth every penny of the $80,000 I spent to obtain this education. They are great instructors as wells as mentors. ATP's CFI school at LZU [ATP Flight School Training Center - Atlanta, GA (LZU)] is hands down the pinnacle of the ATP program. Todd and David do an excellent job in keeping it fun but demanding nothing short of our very best. Their demand for the best, pushed us all to perform at a level none of us would ever have imagined. Any student who has the opportunity to come through LZU for CFI school is incredibly fortunate and will most certainly walk away a better and more knowledgeable professional pilot.
