John [John Mauch, ATP Flight Instructor] is a responsible, accountable, and available instructor pilot. John has a "go-getter" attitude. He provides valuable feedback. As a young instructor, he was able to identify a key element to improve my training. He taught me to calmly and smoothly go through my actions. This has dramatically improved my piloting skills. He is willing to put in extra time to get me where I want to be. As an instructor, he is open to being a learner himself. He is open to hearing feedback on his performance. As a former high school teacher, I understand the critical components of instructing. Each and every day, I have seen John grow as a teacher. He is very open to suggestions for improvement. John is a perfect fit for my training.
