Jim,
On Wednesday, October 6, 2004 I interviewed with ExpressJet Airlines and was offered a position as First Officer. I gladly accepted and will begin training in Houston on October 25, 2004. I would like this email to serve as my two weeks notice to ATP. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as a flight instructor for ATP and appreciate the opportunity to work for the company. I have no doubt that I would not be in the position I am in currently if I had not attended ATP for flight training or if I was not given the opportunity to be a flight instructor for ATP over the last 9 months. I hope that my time here was mutually beneficial to ATP and the students I was able to work with. While I am willing to stay and work until Wednesday, October 20, 2004 I know there are many instructors awaiting positions and I would love the opportunity to spend some time with my wife before I begin training. If it is possible to relieve me of my position at an earlier date, it would be greatly appreciated.
Again, thank you for the opportunities ATP has provided and I wish the company continued success in the future.
