Review of the ATP Certification Training Program + ATM Prep & Test at Jet Simulation - DFW.

Horace Burnett was our primary classroom instructor. He was able to take some long days and apply real life examples and lessons learned from his flying to the class (along with his humor). I really appreciated his relatability and instruction to a broad range of pilot backgrounds without talking down to anyone.
From a simulator standpoint, I couldn’t have had finer instructors.
As a Simulator Instructor with the military myself, I appreciate anyone who can take complex systems and break them down into practical techniques. Randy LeBlanc did just that and was able to focus on parts of the sim that really mattered without trying to make us systems experts in a day. His enthusiasm, knowledge, and humor exemplified to me what there is to love about flying with the airlines. You’ll truly enjoy learning from him, I did.
Gordie Cohen genuinely enjoyed sharing his wealth of knowledge humbly and thoughtfully. He went above and beyond to give us a genuine appreciation of the A320 and its capabilities and brought in real life examples into the training.
Mike Vance balanced his instruction between us (2 students with completely different backgrounds – military vs civilian) and did it incredibly well. His love for the 737 came through in his excellent instruction. He had a perfect balance of professionalism, knowledge, and fun to make me appreciate the airframe and also to respect the limitations that we have to operate in as professionals.
Each instructor made me want to be a better pilot and really know the systems and procedures in place to perform well. With ZERO civilian flying background, I found that my time in the ATP-CTP course really opened my eyes to the challenges and highlights of flying with the airlines. To learn from them was invaluable and their genuine care for the level of instruction made all the difference.
